Bead & Button 2013

Here we go again folks!  Bead and Button 2013 is finally here.

Mom and I will be leaving Tuesday morning at sunrise and if all goes smoothly arriving in Milwaukee 16 or so hours later, depending on how much coffee Mom feels like drinking along the way.    Please stop by and say hello if you are there during set up and of course be sure to stop by as soon as the show begins!

Lisa Peters ART will be in booth #'s 1213-1215. (against the far right wall) I usually try to keep cabochons  on the table to the left and beads on the table to the right.   This year on the grid wall behind (yes, feel free to enter the space) will be button sets and cabochons sets.

THURSDAY & FRIDAY SHOPPERS:  If you have been to our booth in recent years on a Thursday or Friday you know its a big rush to find what you are looking for but then a very long wait to check out.  (sorry )  I will be providing forms to fill out with your information so that you can choose your beads and leave to do more shopping.  We will invoice you and call/text you when you order is ready to be picked up either that night or the next day.

Those of you who would like to attend the Art Bead Scene Meet & Greet for Saturday Night, June 8th at 7:30pm-10pm please click on the evite link or contact: Kaushambi Shah from ABS to put you on the list.   A Dinner Salad Buffet will be served with vegan options and beverage in our own private banquet room.  The all inclusive price is $20 and is due by June 1st via pay pal.  If you do not have a pay pal account or would like to make other payment arrangements please email me or message me through facebook.

I would like to send a special Thank You to Kristen Stevens of of Beadwork by KAS for Coordinating the Button Sets for this years show.  Alot of time, care and energy went into this project and though you wont be able to tell since all the sets came out so beautiful - Kristen had to deal with a very unorganized mess that I so graciously sent to her ;)    Thank You! Thank You! Kristen for not only doing a wonderful job but for your obvious and genuine concern for wanting to stay true to the LPA style and for my "anticipated" success at this years B & B.  I can assure you, button sets aside, that you have made me feel successful with your kind words and dedication to the project, show or no show.

A big shout out and many hugs to my silent supporters- who got the word out immediately (before I could type the first word) for the extra help I needed at the show.  Your unwavering support of me and my work is the reason I can still do it.. no matter how much I complain in private ;)   You will be missed!

You can find more photographs of new work by going to my flickr site -- below are just a few samples of what will be available at the show

I am overwhelmed by it all (as usual) but not stressed,  anxious & excited but more about breaking out of this work cycle  that I have been in for the last 6 months than about sales at the show (usually referred to as "in the dungeon"  if you follow my Facebook feed)    All the usual suspects that bounce around in my psyche seem to have a different approach this year and the rest of me is very willing to let them take the reins - I will let you define that as you wish - for now.    In a nutshell there has been a change in me, change in my work and just a change in my outlook towards my bead making in the future - in a good way - everything is evolving and that's what this is all about

best wishes for a great show & finding wonderful beads to suit your design needs at LPA

see ya soon
