I AM HAVING A BLACK FRIDAY BLOG GIVEAWAY

First I want to say to everyone HAPPY THANKSGIVING! I am posting this a little early so that as many people as possible have a chance to participate. Next Friday is the so called "Black Friday" where people rush the stores and get the good sales. I know some of you cannot get out to the stores for this event and I know a lot of people are having a rough time this year. So I took a few moments and tried to come up with a way that I could show my appreciation and Give Thanks to all of you for being the wonderful support you have been, my old friends and new!

I am so grateful for all the wonderful people I have "met" on the internet and in person at shows & classes. I never thought my creative soul-mates were just a click away! As an artist there are times when we feel closed off from the rest of the world because we can lose hours, days, whole weeks and months dedicated to a single project or many little projects as far as bead making is concerned. Its nice to know that when I look up for a moment at the screen next to me there you are! Not only have you shown interest in my work but you have shown concern for me personally when physically all isn't working as it should. Who knew I could be so lucky! So, with that said...

MY BLACK FRIDAY BLOG GIVEAWAY is............................ a surprise-I can't show ya! But what I will tell you is, The winner will receive $100 worth of Lisa Peters ART assorted beads, buttons, pendants and cabochons as well as some of my studio stash that is not ceramic related! I am a hoarde---- I mean collector of many beautiful things and would like to share a small bit of those things with you! I am hoping that with these things and some of your own you can put together some handmade gifts to share this holiday season or give yourself a gift and make lovely things for you to enjoy! My only wish is that it brings a smile to you! So again, $100 worth of LPA Goodies and on top of that a whole bunch of great Studio Stash.

So, by leaving a comment on my blog a random generator "thingie "from random.org will calculate a number that corresponds with the order in which you left your blog comment. To make it fun - I would like everyone to answer the following ridiculous question. How would you use Lisa Peters ART pieces to save the world? I will randomly choose some of your answers to use in my advertisements on Etsy and on My Facebook Fan Page. You do not have to, I do not think the random generator will show favoritism! :) If not tell me what types of pieces you are interested in working with from LPA. I show and tell most of the time on flickr, so take a few moments and have a look-see!

Good Luck! The Reader Comment Option has been turned off until The Blog Giveaway begins Black Friday, November 27th, 2009 at approx. 12:00am EST until Monday Evening, November 30th, 2009 at approx. 11:59pm EST. The winner will be notified on my blog on Tuesday, December 1, 2009! I will not comment back to any of you until after the giveaway so that I do not interfere with the sequence., but will hang out over at LPA on Facebook anxiously awaiting your comments! BTW, I would love it if you stopped by my FACEBOOK Fan Page and became a fan! Until then I will be listing items on etsy that will have their own special deals as well! Etsy shoppers will be offered FREE SHIPPING on any orders placed in my etsy shop on Friday, November 27th - so if you can't get out to the stores that day feel confident that you will find something to create with at lisapetersART's etsy store and you wont have to pay to get it to you!

Don't forget to check out the BAO IOTW (Bead Art Originals, Item of the Week) and the BAO Color Mosaic for Winter White & Gold Items from your favorite BAO Sellers!

I Thank You for making 2009 a wonderful year!
Much love from my home to yours,
Lisa Peters

Saving the world with Lisa Peters Art is ridiculously easy. I shall continue to enshrine these bodacious beauties upon beds of leather, enabling the bearers to spread eye-catching, soul-lifting loveliness throughout the world with just a wave of their leather clad arms. The visual delight will then cause an upswelling of good feeling in the hearts of all decent people and lead to acts of kindness and increased joy throughout the land.

And the sight of these pieces will stun the bad guys long enough for them to be hit over the head and locked in the closet.

So it's all good, really.

First, thanks for a great giveaway!

I'm not sure I can top Tocadora's post--wow!

I think art of any kind, most importantly Lisa Peters Art, can inspire and uplift the heart and soul. I'm reminded of the old Coke commercial and that famous song "I'd Like To Buy The World A Coke...". The song promises perfect harmony if everyone just had a coke. I belive this to be true with Lisa Peters Art as well!

Wow. Saving the world with Lisa Peters Art pieces. Obviously, Jennifer (Tocadora) has already figured out how to stop all the bad guys, so I'm going to approach this save-the-world thing from a different angle.

Global warming.

Yes, that's what I said. Global
warming.

Because Lisa's creations are so beautiful that everyone who owns them just stops whatever they're doing so they can gaze at them... and while they're doing that, they aren't using spray cans (you know, those ozone layer destroyers), and the only electricity they're using is that one light they're using to see all the detail in Lisa's work.

Yep. Lisa's creations stop the glaciers from melting.

If Osama bin Laden had the pleasure of gazing upon a Lisa Peters Art button or cab, he would lose all anger and hatred. He would buy enough LPA buttons and cabs to fill many burlap sacks(IF he has fast enough fingers to buy them as they are listed on etsy...) Then he would become an ambassador of peace, spreading LPA pieces to all the world.

Like Alice I immediately thought of the Coke ad. And since I have slight addiction to diet coke. I submit the following.

"Have a LPA and a Smile"

Your pieces always make me smile. Actually, I usually drop my jaw and just say "Wow".

So maybe the an ad should be

"LPA = WOW!"

Enjoy and thanks.

Lisa Peters Art saves the world every single day already! Seriously. I kid you not, my friends. Lisa's art keeps me sane and focused. Whenever I need reassurance that there is beauty and meaning in this world, I visit my hoard...um...collection of LPA creations.

How does this save the world? Pity the fool who wants to know what would happen to our world if I lost my sanity! Yes, LPA saves the world (oh well, at least my world) every single day!

oh I hope I win this giveaway. I love your work Lisa, and I don't really have any suggestions but making jewelry with LPA elements is sure to help the community by causing people to smile more, that always helps! :)

Originally I was thinking along the lines of Tocadora's post. But after further consideration, and more caffeine...I think we are destined to launch a secret society. Beaders are already a close knit group, so we indoctrinated the already faithful, having a ceremony and bestowing upon them their LPA talisman. They then go and spread the joy, gifting a talisman to their people. And so on, and so on. The LPA art talisman pieces are how we will know each other, and be our secret handshake, as it were. Before long we would all be part of the circle of LPA love and trust.

HeeHee Lots of coffee. Go - drink - more...
Happy Leftover Day to all!

How can Lisa Peters Art save the world? Easy. Give every single person in the world a piece of Lisa's art. Then watch as all the anger, fear, hatred, jealousy, envy, (all those bad things) disappear. Evil would be no more and only love would remain.

Thanks so much for such a wonderful giveaway!

You have such creative blog readers Lisa! I happen to be wearing a Lisa Peters/Humblebeads necklace at the moment so I think LPA beads will save the world by their ability to unite artists all over the world. Who knows what we can do when we put our super creative powers to work for the good of humankind!

i will continue to create narrative pieces that appeal to people from all over - uniting them through their shared experiences, feelings, hopes and dreams...

I would save the world by using Lisa Peters beads to continue to make jewellery to raise money for our local children's hospital. My 8 year old son asked me to sell some of my current work on behalf of the hospital and we are always looking for new ideas. I think that helping children who are ill and helping potential leaders like my son is a good place to start saving the world.

Thanks for such a generous giveaway!
I think everyone in the world should own at least one piece of LPA and if they did, they could feel the love and kindness in which Lisa infuses into her exceptional art. Then the world would be truly at peace and very beautifully adorned, I might add!

I think that Lisa Peters Art beads will save the world with the simple message of "Dream" that is found in so many of them. If people stopped to dream and wonder more, then the world could be a happier place...

And thanks for having a super giveaway! It's a nice break from all of the spendi-ness that comes with this weekend!

To save the world, I would use LPA cabs to create a bridge which would stretch around the globe. It would give everyone around the world access to different countries and strange cultures. It would allow even the poorest people to travel freely exploring and seeing everything the world has to offer. It would be a bridge of exploration and understanding, but most importantly....of LPA cabochons!!

Lisa Peters Art makes our planet a more beautiful place, and one can't keep from smiling and feeling a bit more optimistic while wearing a piece of jewelry that includes Lisa's work.

I really would love to win this giveaway.I don't think I could save the world with anything, but your giveaway would sure save me!I would be able to give my loved ones something they would treasure much more than the socks and undies I have in mind!

You have such creative readers!

I think LPA is pretty hypnotic - it's easy to get lost in their beauty - so just put a button or bead on the wrist of every bitter or hateful person in the world. They'll get get so distracted and immersed in beauty that they'll totally forget why they were such asses in the first place;)

Well, Miss Lisa, it has been an honor to meet you at Bead & Button this year and a pleasure to use your beautiful art in my wearable art! Since I believe that ART SAVES LIVES I can honestly say that anything that is made with a Lisa Peters tiny piece of art is sure to save the world by beautifying it one neck...or ear...or wrist... at a time!
I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving. I am giving thanks for you!
Enjoy the day!

I am not sure the world can be saved at this point... but I would certainly try by making it more beautiful with your artwork!

Lisa's pieces are so beautiful. I don't know anyone could look through her shop or Flickr photostream and not find something that he/she loves. I think that her ability to create such diverse works of art is enough to save the world on its own. The fact that so many talented artisans out there create so many beautiful works with them makes saving the world that much easier. Thanks Lisa! I'm so excited to enter your giveaway.

Lisa's art pieces are like a natural renewable resource. Using earth, fire, water, air, electricity, and imagination to save and beautify the world.
Her art renews us and therefore, we are resourceful!

I've always admired your work. Since I adore the white crackle spike beads I would place hundreds of thousands of them in the ground in Iraq. It would create peace and harmony throughout the land. The war would cease and our soldiers could come home.

Ooh, what a fabulous giveaway! I think that if we all dreamed and loved more (as suggested by Lisa Peters artwork!)then the world could not help but be a happier place!

I would use LPA Beads to save the world by writing a love song about each unique piece of art she creates. And then I would share the LPA love songs with the world, and the world would see that we are like those beads, crazy cool, unique, different, quirky, ect.... And then everyone would see that hate is just silly, and love would rule. No more war, everyone looking out for each other, world saved, thanks to LPA and some funky music.

Honestly, I don't know how I would save the world with your pieces.}:P

Maybe by creating small works of art that's sure to bring a smile to someone's face, thereby creating a chain reaction of smiles around the world. Can't be too angry at one another when you're busy smiling instead.}:P

So how to save the workd with LPA -hmmmm - if all the evil people could just see some of Lisa's beautiful work they couldn't help but be happier and more hopeful - becoming better people and wanting to do good rather than evil.

Well I think all the comments here pretty much say it all. LPA is fun and beautiful and sharing it with the world makes it fun and beautiful!

Lisa, it seems to me that you are living your dream - in many ways anyway. Your work is a great source of inspiration to me. Thanks for sharing!

Should I be so lucky to get randomly chosen to receive this amazingly generous giveaway I can’t guarantee it will save the world, but I will certainly use some of it to brighten the life of others.

In the early days of automobile manufacturing, some cars coming off the factory line just weren't up to snuff-but were sold to consumers anyway. They simply didn't perform as well as others or more easily broke down. Lights flickered and hinges squeaked. They were called lemons. Such history of lemons led to consumer protection...
