Bead Binge this weekend in South Jersey - you comin?

Red & Black Stoneware Flower
(sold)
Hey Everyone!  Happy First Day of Spring - even though it feels like it has been here for quite some time.  Yesterday I took a chance and planted some seeds (cool weather seeds) that I normally would have waited until the first or 2nd week in April to plant... let's see what happens.  I also discovered at 2 new types of insects living in my garden that have never been here before.  I am not sure if should be happy about it.. but they are here - and on probation depending on their behavior over the next few weeks.  Stay Tuned.

Today I am getting ready for Bead Binge - a bead event put together by the South Jersey Bead Society.  A few years ago my "bead mentor" and friend, Joan Miller allowed me a corner spot at her table for this show so I am familiar with the event - but I have not been back since.  The South Jersey Bead Society has a lot of very enthusiastic members and I am looking forward to seeing them once again.  I am also happy to report that Amy Blevins of Bead & Glass Boutique in Pitman, NJ will be my neighbor throughout so I am pretty sure there will be no absence of giggles and good times as well as beady fun to be had by all.  I hope to see you there.  You can download a coupon for a reduction in the price of admission and find out more information by going to their website.

In other recent news I am happy to report that I am now a member of the Beads of Clay Professional Artisans Team.  YAY.  I have been a member of the Beads of Clay group for 6 years now and I am very happy that they are taking this to the next level.  I am sure there is a lot of fun stuff in store for you as admirers of their work and mine and when I get it all figured out I will let you know here on my blog.. but don't wait for me - check out their blog directly and find out first hand what ceramic beady goodness is waiting for you there.  When Etsy shopping please do not forget to use the search word BOCPAT to go directly to the professional artisan team pieces.

I would also like to use this opportunity to introduce you to (If you do not already know about) three bead groups that I a member of.   Please click on the group logo's to find out more information about each.
Those dedicated to creating beads using Ceramic

BAO includes both creators of art beads and creators of beadwoven art

is a cooperative of artists devoted to the promotion of ceramic beads as an art form.

My Etsy shop is filled with Bead and Button Bundles that are selling fast - so if you are in the market for some please check it out and remember that all bundles are discounted from their individual prices as a courtesy.  So you are saving at least $5-7 on each bundle if not more..

I am so smitten with the red and black flower. I had it in my cart before Miss Hilary swiped! I must be quicker on the Buy button! I hope you will have so many yummies at Bead & Button that I won't be able to resist (like that is ever a problem for me! ;-) Have loads of fun at the event. Enjoy the day, gorgeous!
